Jakby mnie ktoś dzisiaj zapytał, gdzie mieszkali olbrzymi, lub gdzie Gin z baśni tysiąca i jednej nocy spełniał życzenia Alladyna, powiedział bym, że to była Kapadocja
Kapadocja zachwyca, nie tylko dzięki działalności człowieka przez ostatnie 4 tysiące lat. Już sam krajobraz tego regionu cieszy oko niesamowitymi stożkami, jaskiniami, ostańcami skalnymi, dolinami rzeźbionymi przez rzeki i wiatr. Kapadocja to region ukształtowany przez 3 wygasłe wulkany około 60 mln lat temu. Przed milionami lat pył wulkaniczny opadający na ziemię utworzył wielometrową miękką warstwę osadową tzw. tuf. Przez następne lata natura (wiatr, opady deszczu i śniegu, mróz i naturalna erozja) doprowadziła do powstania unikatowych na skalę światową baśniowych i fantazyjnych form skalnych.
Niepowtarzalność tego miejsca tworzy jego baśniowość. Gdzie się nie obejrzymy dostrzeżemy znane z dzieciństwa domy olbrzymów z pięknymi ciemnymi daszkami, rycerzy zaklętych w skałach.
